After the kid learned biology, went home and told his dad, "Now I know the reason why I don't have good grades." His dad was delighted. But the kid continued, "It was all because of heredity."
My daughter has gone to a Chinese school for a few years now, and knows many Chinese characters. She just entered junior high. My job is to make sure that she spends about 10-15 minutes to listen, read, translate and record her reading in Chinese everyday. I have Penpower Chinese Expert software. It's a great tool with segmentation of sentences, onscreen dictionary and phrase dictionary, text-to-speech, voice recognition, handwriting recognition and MP3. Here we go.
